My Dwarf Caitydid, Rosella Purple, Yukon Quest Pickings (and Pics
The harvest is starting to come in pretty good now:
 Left to right - Iditarod Red, Yukon Quest, Caitydid F5, and Rosella Purple. The Caitydid F5 were quite good, reminding me of KBX but with a little "twang".  The red / yellow composition is visually appealing:  The plant is now 58 inches tall so I am beginning to think "Dwarf Plant" is not a fully accurate description.  Am going to either have to add an extension cage, or begin topping the Dwarf Plants.  Saved seeds today so I can start some F6 for the Fall Season. Some more of today's haul.  Jet Star, Jetsetter, Applause, JD Special C-Tex, flanked by Sweet Success cukes and bell peppers. The JD's are averaging about 12 ounces:  Raybo |

How did Iditarod Red and Yukon Quest taste? You have managed to make them non-dwarf now so they must taste different!

Hi Sue,
I really like the taste of both Iditarod Red and Yukon Quest. I'm anxious to try Arctic Rose (hint, hint) for my Fall crop. I really don't think I made them "Non-Dwarf" - - just gave them a good growing environment - - and sing to them at night..... Raybo

Very nice, Raybo. I think your Iditarod Red is from a megabloom. I have one just about the same size and shape in my "For Seed Saving Only" basket right now.

looks wonderful Raybo! You can leave tomatoes ripe like that on the deck? Geez, over here some animal or another would have swiped it by dusk.
