New theme named tomato plants

Here is a list of suggested names some of you Tomatovillians have suggested plus some I thought 'sounded' like a patriotic themed name.

I've left off some of the names suggested, as they didn't make an instint name recognition that I associate with an American patriotic theme.

Thanks for all the suggestions. Now to make some choices based on your expierence of growing and tasting them. Not just what the seed sellers say about them.

4Th of July is the only one I've grown very bland tasting. But they are early and productive.

Fireworks II is average tasting (not tart, not sweet, not
cardboard bland), but quite early, usually just behind
Bloody Butcher, Kimberley, Stupice, etc to first fruit,
and 4 times the size. I use it for everything (sandwiches,
salad, sauce, soup, etc), because it is usually the earliest
one big enough for sandwiches, and even after tomatoes
with more standout flavors are ripening, I still have lots of
them.

I agree with Marc about 4th of July. Others that I've tasted are Camp Joy, Brave General, Captain Lucky and Marianna's Peace and think they should definitely be tried by all who have the opportunity.

Camp Joy is a good tasting cherry, more sweet than
tart, nice balanced flavor.

Jeff Davis is very tart and tasty and does well in hot summers.

Thanks for your taste opinions, please keep them coming. And for the other important bits of information. It's so great to hear from someone who has actually grown the plants. I know conditions make a difference too, but in general, I want some good tasting tomatoes and will not grow any that are spitters.

7 Camp Joy (aka Chadwick Cherry) -- I tried this one a few times. The taste was ok, but production was sparse. I kept hoping for the great taste and production everyone else talked about.

21 Marianna's Peace -- great taste! large, pink, and fairly productive

Eagle's Beak: one of my favorite hearts, excellent flavor
Marianna's Peace: agree it is one of the best
Turkey Chomp: even though omitted, a nice tomato

I love themed tomato seasons. Lots of good choices. Have fun with it.

Thanks for your imput PaulF. So, many if Turkey Chomp is a nice tomato, I'll consider not omitting it. I'm just looking for feed back to see which are the best tasting from this list. Taste is the number one priority.

Other characteristics are not as important, taste is something I'd like real taste buds opinions on. Don't want the ers!

You must do Aunt Lou's as Aunt Lou was from Ripley, Ohio, right along the river in Brown County
Taste...... many of the locals swear it's the best tomato they've ever eaten.

Thanks, Yes, Barbee Aunt Lou's is one I really wanted to hear about, so happy it is a taste one. If some of them aren't tasty, I won't try them.

So that leaves the following patriotic named tomatoes that no one has commented on as to their taste - from their own experience. I'm not even sure about the one named Blue Ribbon, as I couldn't find one with that name. Is it more of a 'brand name'?
