Peruvian Bush cherry
Well, after several years looking for a red cherry which doesn't split I think I've finally found it with Peruvian Bush. The plant is large, about like Black Cherry with about same fruit set, fruit a bit larger than what's considered a normal cherry; about the size of Green Grape but kinda squat looking, an inch across or a tad smaller. It has flavor, a bit on the tart side, close to that of Gardener's Delight [Sugar Lump] but without the splitting. I got the seeds from a guy named Ruud in the Netherlands.
I Googled it but didn't come up with much info. I'll send some seeds to someone who trades or shares on the Trade Forum so keep an eye out there in case you're interested. Here's a picture of it with my glasses sitting on top. |

So they can run and hide when they see me headed their way. :-)
