Seedling pics
Well, been busy at the farm!! We've erected a 20'x40' hoop house that was donated to us. Last week I moved my seedlings from the basement, where they've been under lights, to the hoop house. They've been hardening off in the cool nights here in Kentucky, and growing like crazy. Fed them a 1/4 strength dose of Miracle Grow this morning with their watering, as there are roots starting to protrude from the cells. May have to transplant once before they hit the field. Hope not.
There are 14 varieties of mostly Kentucky heirlooms. Seeds were planted March 21st. Everything sprouted right away, except the coyotes. Three sprouted right off, the rest waited for the hoop house. I'm growing at a permaculture co-operative, and will be field planting weekend after Derby. If anyone is in the Louisville vicinity and looking for a co-op to join, we have room.
