Default Sunburn or something worse

This guy is one of the weaker in my group. All have been receiving roughly the same amount of light for the past 8 days. He is the only one with these marks. Everything I find points to sunburn, but if he is diseased, I don't want to spread it to my young impressionable plants.

A pic would help. I tried to upload the pic from my iPhone and just couldn't make it happen so I posted when I got home. Here is my suspected sunburn.

I understand this shouldn't affect the rest of the plant so long as there is good top/new growth right? It's odd, but I can only find evidence of sunburn on 2 of my 16 plants yet they have all received the same hardening off treatment and have seen a good 7+ days of 7 or 8 hours worth of sun.

Maybe the effected leaves got wet and magnified the sun?
