Carbon Copy Aroma??
Just curious but has anyone else noticed the distinct aroma of SunGold coming
from their Carbon Copy plants. I just noticed this last night and I have been growing them for about 4 years. I made the cross with 4 different cherry tomatoes and honestly did not know which pollen donor was responsible for the cross with Carbon.Maybe I will know if others are sensing the same aroma. No I am not growing SunGold this year so the fragrance must be its own. If you are growing Carbon Copy this season, would you please check the aroma and post back here. thanks ron |

Hi Ron,
I've got three Carbon Copy plants growing now in different areas of the yard (two are about 3-4 ft tall and a smaller one). No Sungold aroma so far. If I start to notice it I'll let you know. Lyn |

Ron,
Thanks again for sending me the Carbon Copy seeds - no SunGold aroma so far, but one of my plants has started to produce ripe cherries that are delicious! This is a definite keeper in my garden and has been added to my permanent grow list. Here is a picture of some that are just about ripe. Lyn |

Hello Ron, no Sungold aroma here either. But I must say, those 2 plants are very vigorous and have been the first tomatoes (of 43 varieties) to set fruit. Am very much looking forward to enjoying them again this summer. Thanks again for sharing the seed.

Might be my imagination, But the aroma is compelling to me. I am picking about 150 per day off of 10 plants and flavor is getting more intense as the temps continue to climb. They are definitely the best small tomato that I have ever tasted.

I just went out to check and there IS a bit of a Sungold aroma to my cc. Sungold is growing in a completely different area and I had not touched it before checking.
I can't wait for my cc tomatoes to ripen so that I can try them! Linda |
