Default Aspirin with Exel LG and Actinovate?

Is it okay to include aspirin in the mix as well? I realize that the effect of aspirin is debatable. Or should I alternate spraying aspirin and then exel lg and actinovate?

creister, I would alternate the Aspirin with the LG/A.

I haven't done any spraying yet, so would one take precedence over the other? I would spray once a week. I leaning toward using the exel/actinovate first.

That's what I would do, especially if you have fungal disease pressures down there now.

Aspirin (Salix Alba) is known to activate the plants defense system SAR among other things. In doing so it will close the (Stomata) pores on the leaf to prevent bacterial/fungal incursion. It also does this when under stress from high temperatures to help retard the loss of moisture from the plant.

Because of this I would do the initial application with the Exel LG/Actinovate first as the Exel LG mode of action is systemic meaning it fights the pathogens from inside the plant. Actinovate is a contact fungicide eradicating the bad guys from the surface of the leaf.

Since I don't have signs of disease at this point (fingers crossed), I was going to fore go the aspirin treatment. However, I did spray exel and actinovate a week ago. Should I spray it weekly or every other week? I was leaning towards every other due to no sign of disease pressure. Of course, we have a chance for some rain, some heavy this Sunday into Monday. What do you all think?

Really depends on the kind of disease pressures that you normally experience in your area. For me with Tomato plants that would be Early Blight and Septoria. Actinovate is my main control for those fungal pathogens so I apply it weekly to reinforce the population of Streptomyces Lydicus on the leaf and stem surfaces.
Phosphorous acid (Excel LG, Plant Doctor, Agri-Fos) has no direct effect on true fungal pathogens like that but it has been shown to induce SAR in plants so it may have a round about benefit, can't say for sure. Since the Phosphorous acid molecule is stable and systemic in the plant, I don't apply it very often, maybe every 3 or 4 weeks. If you have Phytophthora or Pythium root rot problems then I would apply it per instructions every 1 or 2 weeks as a direct control for those Oomycetes pathogens.

Around here it is early blight most likely. I think this is as late as I've gone without seeing it. That being said, we are in the middle of a drought. The spider mites are a major problem, but I wonder if the plants are already weakened from blight if they are more susceptible to spider mite attacks. I will apply the actinovate this week again, but will read my excel label and see what it says.
