What is causing this?
The new growth on some of my plants is curling and deforming. Aside from this, I see no evidence of any issues or infestations and I don't use herbicides or insecticides. All of my tomatoes are in Earth Boxes so they always have water and drainage.

Balr14,
Nothing wrong with your plants. They look healthy. Just going through a new growth spurt. Within a day or two, the new leaves and branches will look normal. dpurdy |

Just like to add that certain varieties grow a little wild and have a mind of their own sometimes. Nothing to worry about.

I grew a few principe borghese tomato plants among 9 other varieties and for some reason the leaves curled and spiraled around on every single one of those plants and none of the other varieties. At first I thought it was some kind of leaf curl virus and then people said it could be a watering issue, but the plants still looked good. No discoloration or any other symptoms. I was hoping they'd grow out of it, but they never did. They went on the whole season looking all twisted and weird, but produced plenty of tomatoes. From the looks of your pictures, I think your plants will be fine too. Lorri D

Thanks a lot, people! The weather has been so lousy here; nights in the 50s, most days in the 60s, a few days in the 70s, lots of wind and too much rain. I planted everything after Mother's Day, but we still got a few frosts after that. Even got hail one day. It just seems like one thing after another this season.
