Default Question?

I just finished my Compost Bin today. I have a lot of access to a huge amount of old decaying Pine straw. It is in the woods behind me. Now I have no idea what is in this straw? Bugs, worms, mites?? You get the idea. Would you put this in your Compost bin? Oh yes it is gull of Gum Balls also, Beale.

Instead of composting I would use the pine straw as a mulch.
