Hailstone Damage ?

We got home late today. I needed to unwind, so I went out in the garden. I started noticing white spots on the tomato plants. They come from the hail last Sunday night. Or that's what they look like. I'm wondering if the hail beaten stems have a chance to be healthy again?

Yes, if it's hail they will recover. Where I live hail storms in June are very common and can actually break stems and mangle plants.

just be glad there no fruits on the plants, if small fruits hail will put a dent in then but they will still ripen up, if larger fruits hail can actually create holes and thus lead to those fruits rotting on the vine.

Carolyn, I took a couple pictures of our blue tomatoes and noticed one of the small Helsing ★★★★★★★★ Blue tomatoes was hit.

I meant to add that our main hail season is May and June here too.

We had a nasty hail storm here last June. I lost a fair amount of fruit to hail damageas well as replace my roof. Luckily it was a good season and I still had plenty of tomatoes.

Hopefully they will recover. I noticed one of my plants had stems broken on one side after the hail we had last week. It looks healthy now and new leaves are starting to form above the broken ones.
