What are your best grilling peppers?
I used to think shi sh itos, but now I am becoming persuaded by the prolific, delicious, larger Friariello Di Napoli.
That is one amazing grilled pepper brushed with olive oil and sea salt. |

I like Jimmy Nardello, Chervena Chuska, and Tolli's Sweet for my grill.

I like Jimmy Nordello, Chervena Chuska, and Shi Shi To best so far. I'm going to try Aji Amarillo soon.

I need to try that friariello pepper if its more prolific than shi shi toes!! The latter is my fav!
Do you grill the friariello while green or when they are red?

My favorites are Aleppo and Aji Amarillo.
But I certainly would never turn down Shi★★★★o, Friarello or Padron. As far as mature peppers for grilling -- I like both Friarello and Dolce di Minervino (Italian Sweet red peppers) |

I, too, would choose the Italian frying peppers like Jimmy Nardello, Golden Treasure, Melrose, etc.

Truth be told - isn't everything just plain better cooked out on the grill?
