Default I want to try a few new Tomatoes this year..

I live in the Philippines.A new grow season will begin after the rainy season ends in Mid Oct to Mid November.A lot of my faves will return of course, including in no particular order:

Cowlick Brandywine

Kosovo

Anna Russian

Donskoi..(If I could find seed.I don't know what happened to my saved seed of Donskoi.I can't get any to germ..finding seed isn't easy..wonder why that is?)

I have selected a few I'd like to try this year.Just wondering if anyone could comment on the list,if you might have experience with any of these:

Malakhitovaya Shkatulka
LITTLE LUCKY
or
Lucky Cross (but not both)
Rebel Yell

I will most likely order from Tatiana. When I order seed and whatnot,I have them sent to my Sister in the US.She then sends them on to me.She will be sending another box pretty soon,so I need to decide and then get them ordered.(she was actually going to send this week, but she missed the deadline,so I have a couple of weeks more).

All comments are welcome (well, except for "You're a Doofus Trop!)

Thanks.

I have grown Little Lucky and Lucky Cross. I liked Little Lucky much better. Very delicious and reliably productive.
You absolutely cannot go wrong with Rebel Yell. Pink potato leafed super abundant beefsteaks with a complex sweet and acid but so much more going on type of flavor. And its a very strong vigorous vine.
My Malachite Box was mushy, but so many have loved it that I think I got the wrong seeds, they were from the MMMM. Try Cherokee Lime, or Aunt Rubys German Green, both are sure things.

Thank you so much for sharing your experience with the Luckies,as well as Rebel Yell and the other one that I can't spell Ginger.

Maybe I should try both of the Lucky types?Tatiana says she prefers one over the other, but that is always the way with so may things isn't it?Personal taste and the particular season they were grown in.Of Course, you are in Florida, and that would approximate the weather we have here,so that is something to consider as well.I am always happy when I hear a particular cultivar does well in one of the hot and humid states.

Rebel Yell. When you said "complex sweet and acid",I was hooked.

Thank you again for the help.

Tropicalgrower,

I can send you some Donskoi and Rebel Yell; PM your sister's address and
I'll get them in the mail soon. Last year, I ordered a pack of Malachite Box
but haven't grown it-it's yours if I haven't given it away yet- I think you'll love Rebel Yell! Darlene

Darlene:

Really. That is VERY kind of you to offer. If you have extra of the Donskoi and Rebel Yell, then I would very much appreciate them.I was really afraid that I wouldn't find more Donskoi,so thank you for that. The Malachite Box,I'd feel bad to take seeds that you hadn't even had a chance to grow out

Sending pm.

And again..Thank You.

Trop,
I found the packet of Malachite Boit was packed for 2014, from sampleseeds.com. Reds and pinks are favored here-possibly
a few blacks; GWR's are a hard sell to husband and neighbors so
I know I'll never grow them! You're more than welcome to them-
I'll be very happy to see them used! Darlene

You really are very kind to offer.

I wouldn't want them to waste away.

I thought I knew how that smilie got inserted.Somehow you typed x followed by 3 dashes. If it had been just 2 dashes, you would have got just x--
See?
