Default Best crop of tomatoes yet! Thanks T-Ville participants.

I spent the fall reading things on this forum and it has paid off.

I planted 11 plants and have more (and bigger) tomatoes than ever. Too many to eat and the neighbors are getting tired of them.

It's not that I found some secret answer here, but rather I found a bunch of questions. Those questions led to "my" answers.

Thanks T-Ville! You have made a big difference in my garden.

Have you had to battle any leaf diseases this year?

Yes, the usual. Early blight, leaf miners, catapillars.

Soon mildew will arrive and that usually stunts things, but I have had my most successful season so far.

That is great to hear. Try some diluted bleach or peroxide on your mildew and see if that makes a difference.

I am having my best year to, as the rain starts to come down again as I type. I battled the leaf diseases and trimmed my plants down to nothing and most of the plants have rebounded and now are loaded again with lots of fruit. I have sprayed with bleach, peroxide and daconile constantly April.

I too have learned a great deal from this forum.

Good to hear you have tomatoes in hand. Save seeds from the ones you dig and then the MMMM can take you to another level.

Sorry to be the barer of bad news, but you just jinxed yourself...
Trust me, soon as you proclaim "best year ever"... Something bad is going to happen.
I hope I'm wrong!

Success and satisfaction are relative perceptions of ones state of mind. The art is to stay happy and satisfied even when there isn't much to be happy about.
Lets keep happiness as epidemic.

Move to Illinois, feel our pain...
If it was up to me, I would sell Chicago to Wisconsin... For a dollar, but they would only offer 50 cents.

since joining this website I went from 20 plants last year to 43... oh yeah then added another 70 at my friends place. I also gifted 20 plants to my employees.

I now have to invest in a chest freezer for all the sauce my wife plans on making. For a free message board this place gets expensive
