Craig/NCTomatoman's book 'Epic Tomatoes' Voted Best in 2016!
Hey All,
I have to brag for our own Tomatovillian, on his book being awarded Best Overall in 2016 by the GWA! https://gardenwriters.org/About-GWA-Media-Honors Long time members and old friend's of Craig will remember when this book was just a dream he had, and then of course those of recent years will remember all the input he took from the members of this forum to make the book. It was so fun when I first saw the book, and was reading saying, "Hey I know her. I know him!..." That collaboration of knowledge I think is what set it apart from many other garden books. Congrats to Craig! Remy

I just purchased his book on Amazon. It is a beautiful book, with luscious photographs and very interesting information. I was up to 2 AM reading it the day I got it in the mail.
Well deserved honor. I need to order Carolyn's book next. |

It's an awesome book. I couldn't put it down. It has a permanent residence on my nightstand. You really do deserve it, Craig.

Thanks all! Caught me by surprise - I've no idea how these submission for awards-things go. Very gratified, and very appreciative of your kind words, and support of my tomato pals!
We are in the middle of a good trip - at Cape Cod (last year my wife's sister passed away here from a long battle with cancer - Sue was here to help, and I joined her - so Sue wanted to return this year to make peace with her memories, and of the Cape - a place she and I both love...we had our early romantic times here at the Cape back in 1979 - and both of us vacationed here with our families when young). So the weather is nice (though we are thinking of those in harms' way of Matthew down south), we've had beach time, bike time, and as a bonus I got to do a presentation to a nice, big group of Cape master gardeners. Life is nothing, if not constantly surprising!
