On April 7 we had the last unexpected snowstorm (and the last (hopefully!) snow of the season). So, next day I and my son made a "Spring Snowman" as a sign of protest against the brutality of winter.

 Here is the May Day we're having: crocuses just up! Snow is receding from my garden, steaming up into the air, what they call "ground fog". We'll have this for weeks to come in the woods. Very late spring for us this year! |
