Default Black Russian/Russian Black

I want a (not clucketty-cluck) round black. Are these beefsteaks? I need a fallback if my Robson Angolans don't germinate--I'll start the paper towel method this afternoon and that has been successful in the past.

The rounds Blacks that I've grown (and they are all pretty much medium to medium small sized) are Black Ethiopian, Black Prince, Miss Kennedy, Nyagous, and Slovenian Black - and they are all brown/blacks (yellow skin over dark interior), not purple/blacks (clear skin). It is unclear if the above are different distinct varieties, or the same variety with different names, from my trials comparing plant and fruit.

Thanks, Craig. Pretty much as I suspected. I got these 2 varieties in a trade from a very reputable source who detects a distinction. I feel like a real nurdlinger about such things because I don't detect worlds of difference in the blacks so I'm just looking for ROUND.

Please remind me again, Craig, which was the Black plum shapey one you like so well.
