newbie
Hi everybody, my name is Gerry and this is my first time growing "heirloom" tomatoes. I don't have any seeds to trade yet, so I was wondering if anyone has any extra seeds that they can spare it would be much appreciated. I can send self addressed stamped envelopes and in return I'll try and return the favour somehow.

Gerry, welcome to TVille. You have come to the right place to learn about heirloom tomatoes. I'm assuming you are from the U.K.. Its a little late to be starting tomatoes from seed now. If you are looking for seed to plant for next year monitor the Seed Exchange Forum and from time to time members will post varieties they have for trade or for a SASE. The members here are very generous lot always ready to help out the newcommer. Send me a PM with your address and maybe I can get you started. Ami

Gerry, when Tania makes an offer like that don't "HESITATE". She has a fantastic collection of heirloom tomato seeds plus you get to see her work close up and the opportunity to pick her brain on tomato growing. GO FOR IT. Ami

Gerry,
I'm located in the Fleetwood area of Surrey and have a plot at Colony Farm in POCO and one by Kwantlen College in Surrey. It is a bit late to start from seed but I'd be happy to share a few varieties with you and let you try some of the tomatoes I'm growing when they are ripe. Alex

Alex,
Thank-you for your offer that is kind of you. I actually was given 5 plants from a coworker, (missionrandy) which got me so interested in growing these tomatos, so I actually have yet to try a "heirloom tomato" I would love to try them when they are ready, perhaps when some of mine ripen? |

I dunno if five are enough. Trust us, you can use more. Take some from Alex, and I have a few that I can sip down overnight. ( I live near Kamloops)
