This was my first year to grow Black From Tula and I have been really impressed. The yield was excellent and the flavor is wonderful!!! It will definitely be back next year.

That looks really, really good. I'm growing it for the first time this year. Mine are a long way off though!

I had so looked forward to this tomato this year but my seedlings did not like that week of 100 degree temps we had and just keeled over...time to get more seeds! That picture has my mouth watering!

Is that a fused fruit? Pretty!

That tomato of yours Sherry must of crossed with one of your Grumpies!!! Mine from previous years were not pleated like that. It is so different that it's good looking. Are you sure it is a BFT?

It's the only one on the plant that looks that way, but it's a single (not fused) fruit. The others have slightly fluted shoulders, although some look smooth. I've searched online for pix, and it looks like they are somewhat variable in shape.

It's from commercial seed ... so I surely hope it's the real thing! (Of course, I do realize that things happen...)

Haven't tasted it yet, but I like the way it looks.

Kelley -- I think I'll try that. I really find it quite an appealing shape.

And this is my second (ever) Black from Tula. From same plant as above. I guess this one looks more "normal."
