Not Brandy Boy??? pic
Anyone else seeing any brandy boys that do not look like brandy boys? The first three I just picked are very orange and I think will probably end up being reds. Will have to check the epidermis in a couple of days when they are fully ripe. Pictured is a plate with the two supposed brandy boys and 2 New Big Dwarf. Not sure if the pic will do the color contrast justice but in general I do not think pinks usually look orange before ripe but I could be wrong. Thoughts???

Confirmed not brandy boy
Well as i suspected the brandy boy I am growing is not brandy boy. It is a red but not bright red PL tomato on PL vines. Meaty with very good taste about 8 oz. I have one more in my woods project so it will be interesting to see if that gives me pink fruits or reds. I am not growing any PL red tomatoes so it cannot be a seed/plant mix up.
Attached are picks of it next to a pink NBD and a cut cross section as well as the skin color from faux brandy boy and NBD, NBD skin on left brandy on right. Anyone else seeing fruit like this? |

Def not Brandy Boy. What's your seed source?
