Default Jalapeno harvest

With frosts forecast for next week here I went out and harvested all my Jalapenos and some Cayene and Thai peppers. After much chopping by me and my daughter this is the result. A test of one confirms that they make the sweat bead on the nose

Default Wow!

Brilliant, Manto.

They look so good. Break out the tacos, fajitas and invite me around.

Are they in a vinegar kind of pickle?

Check out the link below Grub. I had to boil up some extra vinegar, water and oil to cover them. Cutting down the recipe to suit just 2 and a bit pounds of Jalapenos didn't work.
Really looking forward to trying them as the weeks go by.

Mantis,

Looking good! Curious about a couple things... did you have Mexican Oregano on hand? Is there enough olive oil in your mix that if you put jar in fridge that the oil will solidify? And if you have a pH meter what the pH is when you open a jar.

Just curious.

How soon until you next start seedlings?

Hot regards,
JohnT

Hi John. I put one jar in the fridge and no, the oil didn't solidify overnight. Don't know about the PH.
Boy they sure have some fire today. Tried some on dry biscuits with tomato etc. Phew
I have new seedlings just breaking the soil now. I plan to pot them up and overwinter them in my greenhouse.
