Heart Shape, a dominant Trait?
In the Dwarf project we are seeing some apparent dominance in the heart shaped trait. To anyone in the know, is heart shape dominant to non-heartshaped? Maybe Tom Wagner can chime in here. See Porky F1 thread in the Dwarf project for more info.

No, the elongated gene (el) responsible for the oxheart shape is considered recessive, but that is in relation to the normal round salad shape, not oblate or fasciated fruit/ beefsteak genes, which are also recessive.

Porky is a cross of Dwarf Wild Fred F4 with Brad's Black Heart.
Brad's Black Heart is a stable heart, so it is homozygous for fruit shape, ie it has a "heart/heart" gene pair. At F4, Dwarf Wild Fred can still have heterozygous gene pairs. If the specific Dwarf Wild Fred F4 plant that you used for the cross has a "non-heart/heart" gene pair, you can get either heart-heart pairs or not-heart/heart pairs in F1 seeds from Porky. If the Dwarf Wild Fred F4 plant was homozygous for a recessive fruit shape and Brad's Black Heart is homozygous for a different recessive fruit shape, I do not know what determines which shape wins out, but Porky F1s should have the same fruit shape regardless of which one was the pollen donor and which was the female parent. Since that is not what you are seeing (you are getting different fruit shapes from different Porky F1s), the Dwarf Wild Fred F4 plant that you used for one parent was apparently not stabilized for fruit shape yet (still had some heterozygous pairs in the genes that determine fruit shape).
