A Brandywine, probably Cowlick's, a black, probably Cherokee Purple and Matt's Wild Cherry.

Tomatoes on the brain...sheesh.
Ok...potatoes... Probably stick with what usually does well here. That would be Kennebec, Norland and Ponitac. More people around here grow Pontiac, but both reds do well here. I'm up for trying more, but that's pretty much what the local suppliers carry, so I guess I am limited to three (sometimes they have Burbanks...but not often), unless I order them online. |

I would grow the three best ones I grew from Tom's TPS this year.
Or if I have to choose varieties available commercially it would be Yukon Gold, Rosamunda and Lapin Puikula.

Down here it would be King Edwards ,Dutch Creams and Kennebecs to fill the larder --great heavy producer .

Moie-moie, a NZ heirloom,a really really nice tasting early spud,up to 7kg per plant cropper and are a excellent keeper,even now that its close to summer, last seasons Moie-moies i have in the shed still only have very short shoots,because of this these are the last variety to be eaten
But i do like the sound of those Yukon Gold,anyone got any TPS from them? |
