Early to mid-season varieties:
* Eva Purple Ball (med pink fruit)
* Gregori’s Altai (beef)
* Jet Star F1 (med red fruit)
* Kimberly
* Marmande (med red)
* Matt's Wild Cherry (very small red cherry tomato)
* Old Brooks (med red)
* Silvery Fir Tree (very compact patio type growth)
* Stupice (very early sm. red fruit)
* Sungold (orange cherry -- extremely flavorful)

Some would say not to even try large-fruited varieties because they won't be ripe by the time the first frost hits.

Default Thanks feldon 27

Out of all those i have the silvery fir tree but it will be my first time growing them. How do they taste and how would you rate them on a scale of 1 to 10 (10 being the best). :wink:
Thanks Richard

The earliest would be almost any cherry tomato. My earliest regular tomato so far has been Sophies Choice, a small determinate heirloom.
