resting OR SOMETHING!

My mini whites cukes have produced dozens of male and female flowers and small fruits. The females produced blossoms but nothing has happened they are just sitting there - dozens of them - there maybe a tiny bit of growth on the fruit but what are they waiting for???? Tons of bees for pollination. It may be a mute question since I have one wilted vine today. The plants are just going everywhere. We have had adequate rain plus I water, temps have been a little up and down. So what are they waiting for - piegirl
