Default Blue Jade Corn in containers?

Anyone had any experience with Blue Jade sweet corn? It apparently produces 3-6 ears on a 3 ft plant...

I'm wondering how big those ears are, and what kind of spacing you used for them. I've seen everything from 4-16 inches between plants recommended, wondering how much a dwarf corn needs.

Thanks!

Since you're picking by hand, I'd use the wider spacing. The 16 inch spacing would also allow more sun in and more room for the roots to gather nutrients.

Ruet, I am interested to find out about your results. I will try strawberry popcorn in pots next year, that way can be protected from squirrels when the ears are close to be 'ready'. Those grow 4ft tall and put 4-5 small ears.

currently I'm also growing corn in container but not blue jade. The plant grew only 5' and have only 1 ear growing.

the plant has been damaged by lots of itchi-worms. good thing I took a pic before it happened.

its my first time growing corn and I think i did well except for the critter invasion.

So i think its safe to grow corn in containers..
