Default Mojito Mint

Ok... this is a very limited offer. The first 5 people to PM me.
I am cutting back my Mojito mint. A very rare in the U.S. mint from Cuba. The famed Mojito drink is named after this mint. In the U.S., spearmint or peppermint is often substituted in bars to make the Mojito drink.
This is the real deal from cuba. I am willing to send out 5 cuttings for any mint enthusiaists.

I'd love some - thank you. We make mojitos, from Kentucky Colonel Spearmint, who I've nicknamed "Mo". Guess "Mo" might have to get a new name.

Let me know what you need (sase box or whatever).

Thanks!

I was just reading up - apparently this mint is hard to find, one place sells it, apparently a Canadian woman brought some back from Cuba.

So I'm assuming the one you have is the one referred to as Yerba Buena"- Mentha × villosa ?

Sounds lovely.

Yes, I obtained it from Richter Herbs in Canada. Anyone that wants it just PM me your address. Yes, it is the real Mojito from Cuba.

Don't want to rain on the parade but I work in a plant place and we are selling Mojito mint plants - chef jeff, I think. It does look slightly different than the other mints or did they just rename another mint? Definitely not peppermint or spearment (we have those too) piegirl

Im not sure what they are selling at your plant store...Maybe someone there got seed for the Mojito. I had to get mine from Canada. Richter Herbs. http://www.richters.com/Web_store/we...?product=X4025
The real Mojito is from Cuba. I checked and I see the plant for sale on Amazon. It is still fairly rare here in the U.S. Possibly someone at your store has gotten some of the original Mojito and is propagating it?

I don't know - we don't grow our plants, they are from Hybel's (sp?) and are labeled with Chef Jeff tags. I do see we are out so they sold quite well. piegirl edited - will these plants live over since they are from a tropical. I know there is no problem with other types of mints living over - perhaps too well!

Default Mojito Mint

tomatoaddict, I haven't received a pm from you. If your out that's
okay. Don't know if it would survive being mailed in this heat
anyway.

Another place that sells mojito mint is The Growers Exchange.
