New Eggplant Experience
My family is from Italy and of course, eggplants are a HUGE "staple" in our family, along with tomatoes. For years, I have felt the failure for not having the ability to produce any eggplants except for one or two per plant and hung my head in shame . So this year, I got seeds for Rosa Bianca, along with a hybrid called "Little Prince" and started seeds once again after a 5 year hiatus. Seedlings did well, and I put them into the garden. Flea beetles attacked them and they were horribly sad and small. I decided to pull one plant and put into a pot and holy cow, it took off. Each week, I pulled another one out of the garden and potted it. Now, I can't tell you which variety is which since I got them all mixed up, but as soon as I figure out how to post pics here, I will do so because the difference is amazing. I will NEVER grow eggplants anywhere but in containers ever again.

not the best photo, I'll have to take one in better light, but look at the difference between the potted eggplant and the tiny ones in the other pot which were grown in the garden until I pulled them and potted them. I'm still amazed!
