Sweet Banana Peppers
I have had great luck growing these. They are always early and productive. I recently entered some into our county fair and they won Best of Show for the vegetable category.

Nice.
I'm growing some of those. How do you know when to pick? Mine look the same now as they did several weeks ago. I have picked a few and they are tasty, I just don't know enough to know if they are ripe. I'm also growing some Jals that have zero heat. They taste like a green bell pepper. I'm not sure what is up with that. |

I pick mine when they turn from a light green to a yellow. You can also wait until they start to blush a little(a hint of orange in a few spots). I have heard they are very sweet when you let them ripen to a red, but since they are usually the first peppers to ripen in my garden I can't wait that long. I am going to let some ripen this year though.
