Default Fused Eggplant

While I was in my garden this morning I found this fused eggplant. I'm not experienced with eggplants and wonder if this happen often?

I've seen way too many fused blossoms this year. Lots of fused dandelion blossoms and a few 5 leaf clover on my lawn. In the two years previous to this season, I haven't seen any on my zucs , but this year, I have seen 6 in one hill. This all from the same seed. Could this be a present left by the Fukushima event?

That's interesting, never seen that before either on any eggplant I've grown. Keep us posted on what it looks like when it's mature.

Interesting that you have that many fused blossoms. The idea of the link to Fukushima is very interesting. Never came to mind, but could be possible.
I'll post more pictures as the fruit developes.
