Ever thought of termites as a pepper pest?
I tried to bring my potted Aji Dulce pepper in out of the cold the other night, then quickly put it back outside when I realized that there seems to be a small termite colony in the pot. Termites were everywhere, trying to build dirt tubes out of the drainage holes and into the wall.
Anyone have any ideas for getting rid of the things without killing the plant or poisoning the ripening peppers? |

If you have termites I wouldn’t fool around and I would call an exterminator fast if you own the place.
About the only thing you can do is, remove the plant from the dirt and repot. Kill the queen and the rest of her friends FAST. If you do this correctly you shouldn’t have very much of an adverse effect on the pepper plant, just water well. Termites are a bad deal and a pepper plant isn’t worth to risk of a termite invasion.
