Years ago I bought some Big Beef OP that Gary from TomatoFest had as grow outs from Big Beef F1 - they were every bit as good & I think better than the original F1 hybrid and yes, they did produce the same plants.
You may want to see if anyone has the OP seed - I don't anymore but think I may get some again if TF has them.

We (me and my brother) choose Big beef and Belle; planted on 11th; got some problems with them now (created a new thread in diseases and pests section).

I also posted there the seeding mix.

If they survive, we`ve yet to decide on the planting density.
