Default This year's basil

In years past, I have grown up to 18 varieties for comparison. This year we limited it to 5, but I never grow tired of smelling and sampling the goods.

Purple lettuce leaf is particularly attractive.

Aww man, shame it doesn't hold it's color. It would be a neat way to get kids to eat pesto if they're picky about eating something green, just give 'em something purple!
