My First Tasting...Shannon's, KBX, Mystery Green..
Had a couple over for my first tasting of the season!
Blindfolded of course for fun. Just loved the way everyone had a different opinion on taste, skin, seeds, ect. From 9 o'clock clockwise are.. Shannon's, Pink Brandywine, Rutgers, KBX Amelia, and a Mystery Green! Biggest disappointment was Pink Brandywine due to the fact that I pulled it early when half was red and let it ripen inside. A little mealy, which everyone seemed to agree but she'll be back for sure! Graded on a scale of 1-5, 5 being the best. Results... Shannon's - 20 pts Green - 19 pts KBX - 19 pts Amelia - 18 pts Rutgers - 17 pts Pink Brandywine - 12 pts - Due to bad condition of tomato Kids LOVED Early Treat too!! Greg |

Hey Lee, Yeah, it was one of those half ripened ones, while the other half is still Green type tomatoes. BUT it was a Brandywine so I didn't want to waste it. The others are at least a week behind! They'll improve I'm sure!
