Re-potting Eggplants

Hello all,
When transplanting eggplant seedlins, can they be buried deeply like tomatoes, or should the stem remain visible above the soil?

Eggplant transplants are not buried deeply like tomato plants. If you want to set them an inch deeper (I do) than pot depth that is ok. - R

Four egg plant seedlings were purchased and planted, individually in a larger container.This makes for a strong root structure when planted in the outdoor garden at the end of May. Egg plant is a most prolific producer in my garden, and four plants produce far more fruit than I can use. The only bug attacking is the Colorado Potato Beetle, which is easily controlled by physically removing when seen.

Looks good. Black Beauty is the variety I want to try as well - already have a couple of seedlings of Toga (an ornamental type).
