Earth Tainer question

Im wanting to make sure Im clear on this. Does the landscape fabric cover the entire surface of the aeration bench or do I need to cut a hole where the wicking cup is. I think I understand that you first fill the wicking cup with the mix then cover the entire aeration bench with the fabric when filling. I just got to wondering about water uptake if fabric covers the net pot. Sorry this is so long winded! Thanks

That wasn't long winded. You have it right. Do not cut a hole. And use 2 layers of fabric. Water goes right through it. I was considering using 3 layers this year as the roots still got through 2!

Entire surface of the Aeration Bench and you can run it up the sidewalls, if you like as well. Make sure you mound up the mix in the wicking basket - then lay down the fabric pieces (2).

Hi, I just spoke with the company that purchased DuPont Corp. I am just building the earthtainers and wanted to be sure that I purchased the substitute for the DuPont 15 yrs.
I thank FLREDHEART & Amideutch for the sources for the fabric and site for more info on the earthainer.
Fiberweb told me that DeWitt is their distributor, I asked about the Typar product and they said that it was equal too the DuPont 15 yr. I looked at the Dewitt @ Walmart and it is less money. Now I just need to know which is the best for the Earth Tainer? Hope this helps someone else. Look forward to finding out which product is the best! Thanks again!
