Yellow Pepper Leaves
I'm guessing yellowing pepper leaves are due to overwatering? Any other ideas would be very welcome. The varieties most affected are Lautchauer, Shi-Shi-To, and Sweet Red Cherry.
I'm also wondering if maybe I should go ahead and trim off the lowest branches with yellow leaves? |

They don't hurt anything. I would just pinch them off if they are unsightly. Probably a water issue, as you said. It is hard to get water exactly right in the cups. The plants look fine.

If your soil is soggy all the time then overwatering is probably the cause. Roots need air as much as water to function correctly. The first symptoms are the same as N deficiency, oldest leaves turning yellow because roots cannot take up nutrients when they are drowning and starved for oxygen.

when you bottom water, check after 1 hour and remove any standing water.
