Default Need Advice

My seedlings were a week old last Sunday and they are still very spinly with only the two original leaves. They do not seem to be growing. Think its too early to set them outside.
any suggestions.

Thanks
Mike

It sounds as if they need more light. Are you using grow lights or are they on a sunny windowsill? Don't worry too much because you can plant them deep when the time comes.

I'll let someone from your area tell you whether you should plant them out yet!

Linda I have them in a south facing window with a small table lamp over them. Usually leave the light on about 14 to 15 hours each day

Yeah they need more light. Even with 4 foot grow lights, they need to be 2 inches from the light. And they still will be a little spinly. If it is above 50F outside, yes, best put out. 1 hour indirect light, next day 2 next day 3. Then 1 hour in sun for a couple days, increase direct sunlight slowly else you will kill them.

take every opportunity you can to get them outside in the sun. Dont put them in full sun right away, but even partial shade is better than sitting in a window.
