Help! My seedlings got sunscald!!

While hardening off my tomato seedlings, I left them some out too long and some have sunscald.

Will they die?? Can they recover?? What can I do to help them recover?? Will they always be more susceptable to sun damage???

They will more than likely recover and be just fine.

Hard to tell? Is the growing tip burnt off?

no, the growing tip is just fine.

Some seedlings have been entirely faded out (very pale stems and leaves); some have about half their foliage faded out; two have faded out entirely PLUS a yellowish blotch near the middle of its biggestg leaf....and some weren't affected (still dark green).

Should I :
keep them indoors for a few days??
take them out as usual, but put them in the shade for a few days??
Keep them on their hardening off schedule?? (This was inadvertantly prolonged and NOT part of their schedule!!)

Resist the urge to baby them. They are tomatos and they thrive in full sun.

I've never had a problem after the group had a little unexpected excess time outside. If it makes you feel better, keep them on the side of the house where they'll get a few hours of shade. In my opinion, better too much than too little sun. They're lucky its decent enough where you are to be outside.
