Default Strange Pineapple

These were all started at the same time from seeds I saved. I'm pretty sure it was the same fruit also. The one in the middle has had many more branches from the start. I have never seen one do this. Any ideas?

Maybe it was just cold stress. I know if they get heat stressed and/or root bound they will get the mega blossoms and grow many extra branches from the top. They usually go back to normal growing when put in the ground or up-potted. I thought maybe it was a recessive gene or something. I will keep track of it for saving seed.
