Weird Leaf Curly

Anybody seen this curly type leaf?

Some of my super hots have leaves that look like that , it doesn't worry me.

i had what i thought was blight, very similar looking, treated it with PK bio fungicide never looked back

trace herbicide damage. some potting mixes cause this more than others.

To me that looks like aphids are sucking the life out of the leaves. Look at the undersides i bet they are covered with those little buggers.

Definitely as the others said, aphids. They are present on that larger foreground leaf. Hit em with a good drench of insecticidal soap or just soapy water, over and under the leaves, and on the stems right down to the soil line. Make sure you use real soap like ivory or fells naptha, not detergent. Let it on there for about an hour, spray early or late when it is cool. Then after that hour, rinse off thoroughly.

My Habs have the same leaves no aphids though.

i have had this many times before with no bugs present. i think one of the causes is buildup of chemicals like the pesticides used on aphids, meaning that treating it with chemicals or abrasive organic treatments may make it worse. even my worst plants suffering from this condition would recover in time to show full and normal foliage, but it would be nice to find a way to prevent it all together. i think the key is low phosphorus and really clean organic soil. phosphorus reactivates certain agrochemical residues in the soil when applied in large amounts.

you might not want to rule out viral disease also. curly top in chili looks like that sometimes. good luck.

Hi Phil, if you can enlarge the second photo, you will see many aphids right on the leaf closest to the camera.

It is if you don't do it in the heat of the day, and I like to rinse it off an hour later just to be safe. It is organic and won't harm you. Hope you got the undersides of the leaves thoroughly.
