maybe 2 bucks worth of wire fence and a few TyRaps..probably not so good for tomatoes but should be great for snap peas!

Can your hand fit thru that fencing?

It is a really nice, cheap easy support. If it were daylight, I would show a pic on how to improve on this design without it costing anything. But it's dark out, so, cut a few holes in the fencing to get your hand into. That looks like 2x4 field fencing. My wife has small hands (size 5 ring) and she has trouble getting her hand in it.

Painting the fence with spray paint will make it last years longer.

no.. its a bit tight to put your hand through..BUT.. you don't need to!
the sides are open so you can reach in from the sides!
