Assasin bugs on my Basil and Cicada Killer Wasp on my Opalka's saying "Hi!"

Thanks pauldavid & bower! I meet with my troops in the morning and do a security brief of the day's concerns...I assign who's on point, discuss who will be flanking us, and who is to have their head on a swivel...😃

The Assassin looks so bad. Cold calculating antennae. Look at how he/she perches casually on the leaf. Beauty.

i thought the assassins were called wheel bugs? I had one up here in PA that was 2.5 inches long last year.
