Default broad stripes mask fruit color

Fruit stripes come in two basic colors, gold and green. Sometimes the stripes are thin and well defined, other times so broad as to mask the true color of the fruit. Here are a couple examples from our breeding nursery this summer - pink washed in gold stripes and red washed in metallic green stripes.
