Some Spanish eggplants
Blanca de Gandia:
Verde de Valencia: Blanquinegra (LL-16) Blanca de Valencia: Pometa: Listada de Gandia (the real thing, many varieties and hybrids are sold under this name). Naquera strain. Even Gandia is in Spain, "Listada" is clearly Spanish, and this eggplant has been grown "for ever" around Gandia, it is listed almost everywere as Italian or even French. Verde Clareta: Morada de Mallorca: |

Me dieron ganas de meterles cuchillo a todas y directo al sarten o a la parrilla! Se ven hermosas.
I felt like putting them all under the knife and straight to the pan or on the grill! They look beautiful. |

I'm curious about Verde Clareta. Are they ripe as photographed? Or I s it similar to the Italian Cucuzza which will be twice that size?

Great pictures. The Listada de Gandia is a pretty egg.
