He may be a cute little bugger now, but that tomato is going to get a lot bigger! Here's a pic of my Ernestos picked before first threatened frost last fall. All from one plant.

Jumping up and down. My Ernesto met its fate with my son as a toddler last year so I did not get to really see his potential.

Well, the flavor was okay, but not exceptional. They seemed a bit mealy and dry for slicers and had hollow areas, more like a paste tomato. I think I remember reading they are good for cooking and make good sauce. The bulk of them were among the latest to ripen for me, so I suspect our cooler fall weather did not allow for best flavor development. But I loved the rippled shapes and bright colors in these tomatoes. Thanks to Bully for sharing seeds.

Ernesto sounds like a great producer. the fruits are also very attractive. I hope more people post about their opinions of it as I may want to add it to the garden next year
