Robin, The turnips are Scarlet Queen from Johnnys. I've grown them for many years. Haven't grown Scarlet Ohno. I see that Frank Morton was the breeder for Scarlet Ohno. He does AMAZING things with lettuce. I've grown many of his lettuce varieties.

I haven't grown Graffitti. It should be fun to grow.

While it's not hard to get this particular kid to eat veggies, anything that he chooses (and hopefully grows himself) will certainly be eaten. We have a few other unusually-colored veggies either in ground now or planned. Lots of things come in purple! Purple sprouting broccoli is planned. There's a purple-podded pea, and cosmic purple carrots, of course. Purple pak choi is stunning (and tasty!)

After seeing pictures of your beautiful garden haul, I have the itchin to drop a few lettuce seeds in some seed starter mix this weekend.
The escarole is lovely. I have a packet around somewhere, but, it is not a large Italian variety. I have never grown that before, but am inspired to try it now.
