Dicing Vegtables
I diced up by hand, all the tomatoes , peppers and onions this summer for canning my salsas. I am thinking of getting a good food processor or is there something better?

As long as you are chopping and not wanting to actually dice a food processor works just fine.
Just pulse it or you will very quickly make mush out of it. I bought a KitchenAid Mixer from their outlet store where the sell refurbished appliances for a bargain. Here is the link. Just click on what you are looking for and search. http://www.kitchenaid.com/shop/more-...t-3/102020231/ Here is a good processor. http://www.kitchenaid.com/shop/-%5BR...06/RKFP1344CA/ |

I would just like to add that I put a thread up in the Your 2 cents section asking about food processors.
It turned out the the Kitcheaid Cuisinart and the Robot coupe where the top choices. Robot Coupe is over the top expensive but a very good product. Mine is a KitchenAid 7 cup which is too small for mas production but works very well and I got it on sale with a coupon for $70 new at the grocery store. With some things like this people buy them and never use them. The mixer and food processor at my house get used all of the time. Worth |

If one knows the parts, one can go to the restaurant auctions and usually pick up a Robot Coupe at a fair price.

I found one on Craigs list that was a bargain but had no blades or anything. Then looking for the stuff I needed to make it happen it turned out not to be a bargain after all. Just saying when you do run across a deal make sure it is all there or so cheap buying the parts is still a bargan. Worth |
