Polyploid varieties?
Are there any polyploid tomato varieteis in existence?

There have been polyploids in the past, but whether there are any still in exisence is the bigqer question, and I'd have to do some Googling and check my faves to try and answer that question,along with the possible advantages and disadvantages of being polyploid.

TGRC has some tetraploid tomatoes, but there seems to have no advantages wrt to diploids

Yes,unfortunately...I came across a pdf that discussed this topic and it seems tetraploid tomatoes are actually not what I thought they might be.Some plants exhibit increased size and vigour with doubling of chromosomes but that's not the case with the tomato I guess.
