Thanks for posting this, Worth! I grew a row of guajillo this year and was so impressed with them. A couple of weeks ago i made what has to be the world's ugliest little ristra. It is sort of like those Pinterest failures you see. I have been wanting to do something with the pods just do I don't have to look at it anymore, but it's too hot in my kitchen to make enchilada sauce. I regret anew not having a food processor. Do you think a blender would work? I'm guessing it would probably make a poor job of it. Also on the chile oil, what about using a slow cooker?

The crock pot might work but be aware it is now oil not water I have no idea how the temps will be.

I used food processor blender and bur mill coffee grinder to make the powder.
