You dont need strength for canning - the rings should only be finger tight. Most people overtighten and that is a problem too.

Yes, that is it! I find it in the section with frozen juice concentrates. It has a frig life of 8 weeks once defrosted.

Thanks folks. I froze whole that first batch and soon my friends will be bringing more and hopefully it will be a bit cooler then and I'll give the canning ideas a try again.
I'm just so tickled to see garden fresh veggies in the freezer for winter. Will be a nice change not to have to buy everything. : ) |
